Pet Hurricane Evacuation Plan

Please be aware that Your Neighborhood Pet Sitters can not take pets away from your home without a plan from you. We will do everything in our abilities to secure your pet in your home, but we will not be able to evacuate your pet(s) in our personal evacuation plan. We strongly advise that you have a plan in place for a neighbor or a friend to evacuate your pet for you. Be prepared for this situation before you go out of town. Be sure to contact a neighbor or friend to plan for an event like this.

If you need to evacuate your home for a hurricane, please take your pets with you. Transport pets safely in a crate, and purchase your crates (enough for each pet) now so you'll be prepared.  Be sure the crate is large enough for your pet to sit up and lie down in and has enough room for food/water dishes.

Also, be sure to include your pet's medication in your evacuation plans and supplies, and have identification tags on your pet's collars.
